Important Information Concerning SPAM

We understand SPAM is a nuisance and here at Ptera Wireless we implement 
many filtering methods to try to reduce how many of the 7,000 to 10,000 
SPAM messages per day get through to our customers. Unfortunately the 
SPAMMERS are working non stop to figure out ways to get around these 
filters. So we can not guarantee 100% blocking of SPAM email.

Plus there are "legit" email lists that claim they can send you SPAM 
because with or without your knowledge you "opted in" and that they can 
share or sell you email address to other email lists. This can happen 
when filling out registrations, questionnaires and such on the the 
internet. This can be in the fine print that hardly any one takes the 
time to read or a check box on a form that is automatically checked when 
you view the form or questionnaire.

To make things even more tricky a lot of these SPAM messages have an 
"opt out" link at the bottom of the email. DO NOT ever click on these 
links. What happens here is your response signify you are an active 
email address and they can then sell your email address to other SPAM 
lists. Then your SPAM multiplies. And since these are then considered 
email you have "opted in" for they technically can not be labeled SPAM. 
Once you have started this in motion, you can only get out of this by 
changing your email address and only give it out to trusted individuals.
